As part of the Federal Government’s 2017 Digital Summit (formerly National IT Summit), the Expert Group on Intelligent Education Networks organized its 2nd Start-up Dialogue in Mannheim. Start-ups, young companies and junior academics were invited to submit their technological ideas, concepts, mock-ups, prototypes and solutions for Intelligent Education Networks in formal and non-formal education spaces. An elevator pitch provided 22 teams the chance to present their ideas and solutions. In a second round, the six winner projects were presented in more detail:
- Digital2School: mobile digital media education via digital bus (https://www.digital-to-school.org)
- EMERGE: serious game on emergency admission simulation for physicians (http://emerge-the-game.patientzero-games.com)
- Emoree: learning platform aiming to improve reading skills (https://www.emoree.de)
- Hypermind: interactive textbook for tablets and computers (https://www.dfki.de/web/press/press-release/2017/HyperMInd/)
